Transforming into

Cinnamon By The Bay

Where we started
  • Walls:  Layers of wallpaper (four to be exact), paneling, and pastel paint colors.
  • Flooring: Vintage carpet, linoleum, and tile.
  • HVAC: Mid-century baseboard heaters and window air-conditioners.
  • Furnishings: Well-loved and eclectic.

What we have accomplished:
  • Walls: Removed old, worn wallpaper and wood paneling. Patched and repaired walls where possible. Installed new drywall.  Applied paint, paint, and more paint.  Also, installed new trim work and decorative accents.
  • Flooring: Removed existing flooring--carpet, linoleum, and vinyl tile. Installed new waterproof luxury vinyl planks and carpet throughout. Cleaned and polished the existing black and white checkerboard vinyl tile because it was too cool to lose.
  • Lighting:  Old places are dark! New lights were added to brighten the building and existing fluorescent and incandescent lightbulbs were replaced with more efficient and brighter LEDs.
  • Temperature Control: Be gone baseboard heaters and window AC units! Installed individually controlled mini-split heating/AC units. New ceiling fans throughout keep air moving throughout.
  • Doors: Replaced mix-matched interior doors with beautiful five-panel doors. Installed electronic locks so pre-paid guests can check in at their leisure. New exterior doors keep the elements and drafts out.
  • Kitchens/Bathrooms: Every guest room/suite has its own kitchen and private bath. Most now have new cabinetry, quartz countertops, hardware, fixtures, and appliances. All now have fluffy new linens.
  • Furnishings: Existing furnishings were given new homes via our estate sale and donations. Those that remain were refreshed or re-purposed. Some personal favorites were added, updated, or purchased.
  • Decks/Fences: Power-washed and repaired the fences and decks. Added multiple seating areas for our guests enjoyment...and social distancing.
  • Media: WIFI, and new 32" TVs with Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, and Netflix are all ready and waiting for our business and vacationing guests.

What we are working on now:
  • Final touches: It is the little things that count and we are working hard creating a comfortable and enjoyable place for our guests.
  • Exterior: We are changing up the outside too!  Fresh paint with striking new colors will solidify Cinnamon By The Bay's transition.
